ABOUT ME

Rachael is currently completing her fifth and final year in the Penn State University Architectural Engineering program as a mechanical option student.  Throughout her time at Penn State, Rachael has been very active around campus from her year on the varsity tennis team at the Altoona campus to her time serving as THON chair for the Student Society of Architectural Engineering.

After Rachael's second year of college, she had a civil engineering internship near her hometown for McMahon Associates where she first experienced what it will be like to have a career as a professional engineer.  The following summer, Rachael studied abroad through the Architectural Engineering program to Rome where her courses included structural analysis, city planning, and architecture studios.  She then spent her most recent summer in Orlando, Florida interning for Exp where she worked exclusively in the HVAC industry for the first time.  This is where she began putting her specific areas of study into action.  Working mostly on hospitality projects, Rachael completed load calculations, duct layouts, static pressure calculations, equipment sizing, etc. and vastly expanded her knowledge of the HVAC industry.
